Lu-Seal is not just any other plush. She is a reflection and reminder of what I've accomplished since 2015. From picking up a crochet hook, to learning the basics of crochet, to actively fundraising for the Vancouver Marine Mammal Rescue Centre (MMRC)...every thing seems like it was yesterday. My love for harbour seals is what motivated me to donate to the MMRC and it is only natural that I create a plush to commemorate the collective effort of everyone who works and volunteers there. They are all an integral part of the rescue and, because of them, 150+ marine mammals (including harbour seals, otters, turtles, walruses, etc) are rescued, rehabilitated, and released yearly. Not all animals get a second chance at life and I am extremely grateful to be able to contribute to such a meaningful cause via crafting. I am also very proud of my supporters for helping Croochet raise more than $10k for the MMRC over the years. Without your support, I could not have done this, so again, thank you. If you would like to learn more, please visit https://rescue.ocean.org/. I hope you will enjoy creating this chubby harbour seal and will cherish her as much as I do. She truly means a lot to me and I trust you will take care of the pattern as well.
